The Sacred Headwaters Policies
Liability Waiver
By working with Lauren or any affiliates of the Sacred Headwaters in any capacity, the client or participant takes full responsibility for acknowledging the following:
1. Nature of Services
The Client understands that all Services provided by the Practitioner are non-clinical, non-medical, and are based on tools drawn from personal spiritual study, third-party certification and Education programs, alternative education, and intuitive practice.
The Practitioner is not a licensed medical doctor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or licensed massage/bodywork therapist. The Services provided are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, or licensed bodywork care.
2. Assumption of Risk
By participating in any offerings of Lauren or The Sacred Headwaters, the Client acknowledges that spiritual, energetic, and introspective work can involve emotional, mental, or physical responses. The Client accepts full responsibility for their participation and well-being, including any decision to continue, discontinue, or seek additional support.
3. Voluntary Participation
All engagement in Services is voluntary. The Client may decline any activity, prompt, or suggestion at any time and is responsible for communicating their needs and boundaries clearly.
4. Release and Waiver of Liability
The Client hereby waives, releases, and agrees to hold harmless the Practitioner, any assistants, and affiliated service providers from any and all liability, claims, or demands that may arise from participation in the Services, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. This includes—but is not limited to—emotional distress, perceived outcomes, or any changes in physical, mental, or emotional states.
5. No Guarantees or Claims
The Practitioner makes no promises or guarantees regarding outcomes. The Client understands that results are subjective and vary based on individual engagement and circumstances.
6. Confidentiality
While every reasonable effort is made to respect client confidentiality, the Client understands that electronic communications (e.g., email, online platforms) may carry inherent risks. The Practitioner will not disclose Client information without consent unless required by law or safety concerns.
7. Retreats and Workshops
By signing up for ANY of Lauren’s retreat containers or workshops, the participant HAS looked over this page and has agreed to the following:
1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
All Retreat activities are undertaken voluntarily and at the participant’s own risk. Participation may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Physical injury (minor or serious), illness, permanent disability, or death
Emotional or psychological distress, including trauma activation or discomfort
Physical activities such as yoga, movement, breathwork, dance, hiking, swimming, somatic practices, bodywork, ritual or ceremonial experiences
Travel-related risks associated with transportation, lodging, excursions, environmental conditions, or third-party services
Exposure to allergens, dietary reactions, weather conditions, wildlife, uneven terrain, altitude, heat, cold, or other environmental factors
Interaction with other participants, facilitators, contractors, or members of the public
Participants acknowledge that these risks may be known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, and voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks arising before, during, and after the Retreat.
2. Medical, Mental Health & Professional Disclaimer
Retreat offerings are not medical care, psychotherapy, or mental health treatment, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.
Unless explicitly stated in writing, the Company and its representatives are not licensed medical professionals, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, or healthcare providers.
Participants are solely responsible for their own physical, emotional, and mental well-being and are encouraged to consult with qualified healthcare professionals prior to participation if they have any medical, physical, or psychological concerns.
3. No Guarantees
The Company makes no guarantees or representations regarding outcomes, results, healing, transformation, or personal experiences. Each participant’s experience is unique and subjective.
4. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Company and all related parties, including but not limited to:
Owners, directors, officers, employees
Facilitators, guides, contractors, volunteers
Affiliates, partners, vendors
Venue owners, landlords, and third-party service providers
from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to participation in the Retreat, including claims based on ordinary negligence.
This release applies to incidents occurring before, during, or after the Retreat.
5. Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify and defend the Company and its affiliates against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from their participation, actions, omissions, or violation of Retreat policies. Should the participant seek legal allegations, they agree to be responsible for ALL legal fees, including that of The Sacred Headwaters, Lauren, and any affiliates involved.
6. Third-Party Providers & Venues
Certain Retreat services, accommodations, transportation, or activities may be provided by independent third parties. The Company does not control and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any third-party provider.
7. Travel & Personal Responsibility
Participants are solely responsible for:
Travel arrangements and transportation
Travel, medical, and health insurance
Passports, visas, vaccinations, and compliance with local laws
The Company is not liable for incidents occurring in transit to or from the Retreat location.
8. Photography, Video & Media Use
Unless otherwise stated in writing prior to the Retreat, participants grant the Company the right to photograph, film, or record Retreat activities and to use such media for educational, promotional, or commercial purposes without compensation.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This policy shall be governed by the laws of local legislature. Any disputes arising from participation in the Retreat shall be resolved through binding arbitration, and participants waive the right to a jury trial.
10. Severability
If any portion of this policy is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or attending a Retreat, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to this policy and acknowledge that they are voluntarily assuming all associated risks.
Participation in this Retreat constitutes acceptance of all policies, terms, and conditions outlined above.
Refund Policy
At The sacred Headwaters, your time, energy, and presence are deeply valued. To maintain clear boundaries and mutual respect, the following refund and cancellation policies apply to all sessions, services, and offerings:
1. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule a session with at least 48 hours’ notice without penalty.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in cases of emergency (at the Practitioner’s discretion).
No-shows or missed appointments will not be refunded or rescheduled.
2. Refunds
All sales are final once a session is booked or a product is purchased.
No refunds will be issued for completed services, digital downloads, workshops, or group events.
If a technical issue or extenuating circumstance arises that prevents delivery of the service, the Client may request a reschedule or credit toward a future session.
RETREATS:
Payment is to be made in Full to secure booking.
Full refund is available up to 4 months prior to retreat dates. After the 4 month mark, refunds are only partial 50%. Refunds will NOT be issued if cancellation is in less than 30 days.
However, client can REPLACE their reservation with another participant for FULL refund at ANY time.
3. Deposits for Events or Packages
Deposits for multi-session packages, courses, or events are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend an event or complete a package, you may request to transfer your spot to another person or apply a portion of the unused balance to a future offering (within 6 months), subject to approval.
4. Practitioner-Initiated Changes
If the Practitioner must cancel or reschedule due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen conflict, every effort will be made to notify you as early as possible and reschedule your session or offer a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.
5. Agreement
By booking a service, you agree to honor this refund and cancellation policy and understand that these boundaries support the energetic container of the work.
Media Release
1. Consent to Be Photographed or Recorded
You understand that photos, videos, or audio recordings may be captured during group events or public gatherings for documentation, marketing, or educational purposes.
You hereby grant the Facilitator and their authorized representatives the irrevocable right to photograph, film, or otherwise record your participation and to use such media, without compensation, in promotional materials including (but not limited to) websites, social media, flyers, email campaigns, and publications.
2. Opt-Out Option
If you prefer not to appear in any photos or videos, it is your responsibility to:
Inform the Facilitator prior to the event, and
Verbally notify any photographer present.
Reasonable efforts will be made to honor your privacy, though complete exclusion in group settings cannot always be guaranteed.
3. Ownership & Usage
All photographs, recordings, and visual content are the property of the Sacred Headwaters and may be edited, published, or distributed at their discretion.
4. Release of Liability
You release and hold harmless the Facilitator from any claims, damages, or liability related to the use of your image, voice, or likeness in any form of media.
